Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the For Filters Sake! ("FFS!", "we", "us") website and subscription services. By subscribing, you agree to them. We've written these in plain language on purpose.
1. What we provide
- Full-service plans (Standard, Premium, Max): we visit your home on your plan's schedule, supply a quality filter, replace your HVAC filter, and remove the old one.
- Go Filter Yourself! plans: we deliver your full year of filters in one delivery, and send you email reminders on your chosen schedule. You perform the replacements yourself.
2. Pricing & billing
- All prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable HST, charged at checkout.
- Subscriptions are billed annually in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each year unless cancelled.
- Go Filter Yourself! orders outside our local route area include a one-time shipping charge shown at checkout.
3. Scheduling & home access
- After subscribing, you'll provide preferred dates and times. We confirm every visit with you in advance.
- A person aged 18 or older must be home to provide access to the furnace area during scheduled visits. We do not enter homes unaccompanied.
- If we arrive during a confirmed window and can't get access, we'll work with you to reschedule. Repeated missed visits may count as a completed visit for that cycle.
- Visit timing may occasionally shift due to weather, traffic, or route changes — we'll always communicate.
4. Filters & sizing
- We supply quality pleated filters appropriate to your plan. Specific brands may vary based on availability.
- If you selected "I'm not sure" for filter size, we'll confirm the correct size at your first visit (full service) or before your first delivery (DIY).
- Unusual or custom filter sizes may require a price adjustment, which we'll discuss with you before proceeding.
5. Scope of service
- Our service is limited to supplying and replacing standard residential HVAC air filters. We are not an HVAC repair, maintenance, or inspection company, and our visits do not constitute an HVAC inspection or certification.
- If we happen to notice something that looks off with your equipment, we may mention it as a courtesy, but you should consult a licensed HVAC technician for any repair, diagnosis, or maintenance.
- Regular filter changes support HVAC efficiency and air quality, but we make no guarantee of specific energy savings, equipment lifespan, or health outcomes.
6. Cancellation & refunds
- You may cancel anytime by emailing info@filterssake.com or through your Stripe billing portal link.
- Cancelling stops your next annual renewal. For mid-year cancellations of full-service plans, we'll refund a prorated amount for unused visits, less the retail value of your free first filter if you cancel within the first 60 days.
- Go Filter Yourself! plans are non-refundable once your annual filter delivery has shipped or been dropped off, since you've received the full year of product.
7. Our responsibility
- We take care in your home and carry out filter replacements professionally. If we damage something during a visit, tell us right away and we'll make it right.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law in Ontario.
8. Service area
Full-service plans are available in the GTA and Simcoe County. Go Filter Yourself! delivery is available across Ontario. If you subscribe from outside our service area for a full-service plan, we'll contact you to either arrange service, switch you to a delivery plan, or issue a full refund — your choice.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this page. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email before they take effect.
